Easy Ways to Keep Your Grill Clean

No one wants to eat off a dirty grill,  but cleaning them can be a pain.  Don’t worry, we have some great tips on easy ways to clean your grill.  Perform these at least once a month to make the task more manageable.

1.  Heat Your Grill

First, fire it up until it is nice and hot, which will take about 15 minutes.  This will allow any food residue that is stuck on your grill to burn off.  Then, use your grill brush to scrape off the grates.  After this is done, turn your grill off and disconnect the propane tank. Wait to proceed until your grill is cool.

2. Soak and Clean

Take your grates, plates and drip pan off and soak them in a bucket of soap and hot water.  After they soak for a bit, scrub them and rinse, they will be sparkly clean. Then use your grill brush to clean the inside of the hood with your soapy water. Rinse it off when done.

3. Polish

Spray and polish your grill with stainless steel cleaner if it is steel. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe it down to prevent scratches. If you do not have a steel grill you can simply spray it with glass cleaner to clean the outside.

4. Cover

Finally, be sure to cover your grill with a grill cover.  If you don’t have one, it is a great investment that will help to keep your grill protected and clean throughout the seasons.
