ServiceMaster by Rice Ribbon Cutting in Mason City

In 2018, ServiceMaster By Rice purchased the ServiceMaster Restore franchise in Mason City, Iowa in an effort to expand our restoration and cleaning services throughout the state of Iowa. The acquisition expanded our footprint as one of the largest ServiceMaster franchises in the country. Adding the Mason City branch allowed us to serve the homes and businesses in the counties of Cerro Gordo, Mitchell, and Floyd with a team of IICRC certified professionals. Our Disaster Restoration experts in Mason City specialize in residential and commercial recovery for water damage, flood cleanup, mold remediation, fire and smoke damage restoration, odor, trauma cleanup, and carpet and upholstery cleaning.

The Mason City branch has proven to be a great addition to our company. Throughout the course of this first year, we have enjoyed building new relationships with customers and local businesses around the area. We regularly participate in events put on by the Chamber of Commerce for both Mason City and Clear Lake while offering courses on continuing education and Disaster Restoration. The Mason City addition has also played a big part in assisting our branches in southern Minnesota. Having Albert Lea and Austin, Minnesota within an hour of Mason City has given our team the flexibility and quick response time needed to service our clients when disaster strikes.

Celebrating One Year of Successful Disaster Restoration  Certificate

We celebrated the success with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 22nd with the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce at the ServiceMaster by Rice Mason City office. Brock Stecker (Area Manager), Cole

Amstutz (Sales & Marketing Manager), and Scott Schweisow (Regional Director of Operations) were all in attendance for the ribbon-cutting. Brock, who was born and raised in Mason City, and Cole, a graduate of the nearby Garner-Hayfield-Ventura High School, were excited to partake in an event so close to their roots. We are proud to have these northern-Iowa natives on our side and they have done an incredible job establishing our Mason City branch.

The team joined the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce in the ribbon cutting and they were given a plaque displaying the membership with the Chamber of Commerce.

Giving Back with Continuing Education Continuing education class

The following day after the ribbon-cutting, Scott Schweisow gave a presentation on residential hoarding to local insurance agents. The class was held at North Iowa Community College. Continuing education initiatives like this allow us to educate and give back to the local community that has made us feel right at home. We know that Disaster Restoration is a team effort and we hope to properly equip businesses and residents so they can properly approach a challenging situation.

Put a Plan in Place for Disaster Recovery Efforts.

ServiceMaster by Rice was founded in 1954 and we have expanded our Disaster Restoration efforts to 12 branches across Iowa and in southern Minnesota. We know how unpredictable and challenging the weather patterns can be in northern Iowa, which can lead to your business requiring Disaster Restoration. Every disaster is unwelcome, but it does not have to keep you down. Having a plan in place is the first step to a quick and successful restoration effort.

Start by signing up for our Priority Response Program. This will give your business access to our emdergency network 24/7 for the entire year. Additionally, you will have access to immediate emergency response. A Disaster Restoration team will arrive on-site within 2-4 hours of being notified. If you have any questions for the Mason City branch, you can contact Brock Stecker at brocks@smbyrice.com or 641-421-2009.
