ServiceMaster by Rice is pleased to announce our recent acquisition of the ServiceMaster franchise in Story County, IA. Over the past decade we have been a strong partner with Iowa State University. One of the largest projects was supporting them during the floods of 2010. We now look to bring that same expertise and professionalism to the rest of Story County. ServiceMaster by Rice has become an elite company within the disaster restoration industry.
For the past 66 years, our mission has been to provide top quality services and expertise to our customers in both residential and commercial settings. We specialize in water, fire, and smoke damage restoration. We offer 24-hour emergency services. Other services we offer are trauma/vandalism clean-up, mold remediation, carpet and upholstery cleaning. In 2020 we also added Covid-19 cleaning and disinfection to the services we offer.
The Story County team is operating out of Ames under the management of Manuel “Manny” Granado. Manny has been working out of the Des Moines office as a Project Manager for the last year. He came to us from Phoenix, Arizona with 11 years of Disaster Restoration experience. Austin Rice Jr explains: “Manny has been a great addition to the team. His knowledge of the restoration industry and his strong management skills made for a really easy choice when deciding on an Ames Manager.”
The purchase of the Story County franchise expands our footprint to over 56 counties in Iowa and Southern Minnesota. We have strategically placed our 13 branch locations so that they are within an hour of each other. Ames fits into our footprint really well as it is 45 minutes from Des Moines, 45 minutes from Marshalltown, and about an hour from Fort Dodge. This gives our teams the flexibility and quick response time needed when disaster strikes.
