DSI Holdings Acquires Second Largest ServiceMaster Franchise Group

DSI Holdings, the largest owner and operator of ServiceMaster Restore and SRM franchises in the United States has announced that it has acquired the second largest franchise ownership group in the ServiceMaster network, ServiceMaster by Hedden, of Maple Grove, MN.

DSI Holdings, the largest owner and operator of ServiceMaster Restore and SRM franchises in the United States has announced that it has acquired the second largest franchise ownership group in the ServiceMaster network, ServiceMaster by Hedden, of Maple Grove, MN. This acquisition includes ServiceMaster by Hedden’s operating centers in St Paul, MN, and Madison, WI in addition to the aforementioned Maple Grove location.

“The business that Denise and Randy (Hedden) have built over the past 20 years, aligns so well with our culture and commitment to service at DSI”, said DSI Holdings CEO, Jim Boccher. “Over the past decade we have worked very closely with their teams and witnessed first hand the synergies between our two organizations. This deal simply formalizes that partnership”.

Randy and Denise Hedden, the principal owners of ServiceMaster by Hedden, will be staying on with DSI in executive leadership roles. “Having Randy and Denise want to be a part of what we are building was extremely important to this deal getting done”, said Boccher.

“The opportunity to join the DSI team is a natural fit for all parties involved,” ServiceMaster by Hedden’s Owner, Randy Hedden shared. “As we transition to the next phase of our lives we want to make sure we are leaving the people who have made our company a success in good hands. This includes all our great employees and customers who make this possible. This becomes an opportunity for not only growth of the company but provides growth opportunities for our employees. We are excited to move forward and take it to the next level.”

This acquisition further solidifies DSI’s position as the largest owner and operator of ServiceMaster franchises in the United States. Boccher believes that this will significantly enhance DSI’s service capabilities for both residential clients in its local markets as well as their national commercial disaster restoration brand, SRM. “Today we welcome over one hundred new, highly qualified team members into our family. Strengthening our capabilities and resources means that we can better service our clients across the country. What already differentiates us in the industry is that we do not have to outsource service capabilities the way our competitors do. When we respond to regional CAT events such as Hurricane Florence or even to a deep freeze event in Minneapolis or Chicago, we do so with our own employees. The fact that we can add this many trained and qualified full-time team members and the resources that come along with them is a big win for our customers”, Boccher said.

DSI Holdings is an ownership/management group headquartered in Downers Grove, IL specializing in providing residential and commercial disaster restoration services through the ServiceMaster DSI and ServiceMaster Recovery Management (SRM) brands. Starting with its first ServiceMaster license in 1981, DSI Holdings has grown to be the premier ownership group within the ServiceMaster network, amassing 85 licenses within the United States and serving as the flagship SRM operator. Through these brands, DSI services clients in all 50 states, and its large loss team has provided commercial disaster restoration services in more than 20 countries around the world.
