Frigid Temps, Burst Water Pipes

When cold winter weather blows into South Central Kansas and Wichita, an increased chance of a common and costly problem comes with it — bursting water pipes. Keep in mind pipes of any material can burst, including PVC, plastic, iron and lead.

To prevent pipe damage during severe cold, insulate your pipes. Or, if your pipes are uninsulated, let water flow through (even if only a drip or trickle). Doing so will ensure the water won’t have the opportunity to freeze, and pipes should survive until temperatures warm above freezing.

If your frozen pipes do burst, we can help you with:

  • Water damage restoration
  • Drying, dehumidification and water extraction
  • Document drying and recovery
  • Mold remediation
  • Carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning

Our technicians know the effects of water damage on a wide variety of structural surfaces and are experts at both water damage mitigation and reducing overall claim severity. Let us get your life back to normal and minimize costs with our quick emergency response.
