Fire Damage Restoration

Fire damage can be devastating. If you are here because fire has wreaked havoc to your home, we are genuinely sorry for your loss. We have walked alongside our Alaskan neighbors through fire damage restoration for over 50 years. We understand how stressful this time can be, and we want to make it as stress-free for you as possible. We will work with you, your insurance company, and the fire department to manage the situation and get you back to the life you had before fire.

It is our goal to restore your property as quickly and efficiently as possible. Depending on the source, nature and size of the fire, the cleaning and restoration process may require several phases before completion:

PHASE I

We will conduct a thorough, visual inspection with photo documentation to determine the scope of the damage to your home. This inspection is 100% free. To ensure proper claims investigation, the area where the fire started must be secured and undisturbed.

PHASE II

After you have signed a Statement of Authorization, we will conduct time-sensitive emergency services immediately, such as the removal of excess water remaining from fire-fighting and the corrosive residue left by smoke.

PHASE III

We will treat the air to remove smoke and odor from your home using either air scrubbers, thermal fogging, or ozone. If thermal fogging or ozone treatments are selected for your restoration, you, your family, pets and plants will need to leave the premises for a short period of time until the treatment is over.

PHASE IV

We will begin the restoration process, cleaning your walls, floors, carpet, furniture, knick-knacks, and more. This may involve taking inventory and packing your furniture and other home contents to be restored at our warehouse.

PHASE V

If repair or construction work is required, we are general contractors and we can perform any drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing or other forms of work that need to be done.

Of course we hope to restore your property to as close to its pre-loss condition as we can get it! Unfortunately, sometimes items are damaged beyond repair or it is cost-prohibitive to restore them. We will walk alongside and advise you and your insurance claim representative on these items as professional restorers.

How You Can Help

  • Take care of yourself by identifying the items that you need immediately, such as medication, emergency clothing, etc.
  • Be prepared to sign Statement of Authorization so that we can begin work on your property.
  • Identify any items that you wish to keep in your possession, such as personal valuables, jewelry, etc.
  • Assist with restore versus replace decisions, especially regarding family heirlooms and sentimental items.
  • Be available onsite during pack-out and redelivery if any of your items are going to be restored offsite.

WARNING: Did you know? Touching surfaces covered in soot can permanently set the soot. There are complex chemical reactions and hidden damage that are best restored with specific products, equipment and expert methods. Please do not attempt any “do-it-yourself” cleaning methods without consulting a professional. Doing so could actually make the damage worse.
