ServiceMaster Five Points

ServiceMaster of Gwinnett began in 1991 with a territory consisting of a part of Gwinnett County, Georgia. Over the years as the company was successful, its territory increased to include some twelve counties extending from Fulton and DeKalb eastward to the state line. During this expansion period Russell Ewing, son of founders Joe and Sandy Williamson, became General Manager of the company. Russell had grown up in the business, working part-time since high school in Duluth, Georgia, and finally full-time after graduation from the University of Georgia with a degree in Marketing. Russell and his family made their home in Athens. He and his wife, also a UGA graduate, are raising their three children there.

The ServiceMaster of Gwinnett owners eventually decided to add a second office in Athens to better manage the large territory. Russell could work more efficiently from an Athens office as business increased in the eastern part of the territory. Thus, a satellite office was opened there to supplement the main office in Lawrenceville. The Athens office opened in 2013, but as business continued to grow in the area surrounding Athens and the Lake Oconee area, the owners decided to move the main office to a more central location in Bethlehem. After all, who could resist an address on Christmas Avenue in Bethlehem. Since 2019, ServiceMaster of Gwinnett has been headquartered in Bethlehem, and ServiceMaster Five Points has operated from the Five Points area of Athens.

Over the years ServiceMaster of Gwinnett and ServiceMaster Five Points have served thousands of customers, many of whom still rely on these companies for services. Technologies have changed, and owners and technicians alike have had to keep current on the best processes to accomplish their work. One thing that has not changed, though, is the original set of goals from thirty years ago:

  • To Honor God in All We Do
  • To Help People Develop
  • To Pursue Excellence
  • To Grow Profitably
